CONSTRUCTION FORENSICS EXPERTISE

Construction Experience. Forensic Analysis. Technical Clarity.

The Construction Forensics Group brings real-world construction experience together with forensic investigation, technical documentation, and construction case support.

Our work focuses on understanding how buildings were constructed, why failures occurred, what the available evidence supports, and what should happen next.

From individual construction defects to complex matters involving multiple building systems, experts, insurers, builders, contractors, or attorneys, CFG provides independent technical analysis grounded in construction experience and observable facts.

We don't begin with a predetermined conclusion. We begin with the construction evidence.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Built on Real-World Construction Experience

Eric C. Faber brings more than four decades of business, consulting, construction, and project experience to The Construction Forensics Group, including extensive involvement in residential and commercial construction.

His construction background includes general contracting, construction management, building-system evaluation, defect investigation, repair analysis, and work involving complex property and construction disputes.

That experience provides an important perspective in forensic work:

Understanding how something failed requires understanding how it should have been designed, built, sequenced, installed, and repaired.

CFG applies that practical construction perspective to every investigation.

Construction Forensics Consultant & Expert Witness

Experience includes technical consulting, written findings and reports, attorney collaboration, depositions, mediation, arbitration, demonstrative development, and construction dispute support.

Technical credibility comes from more than identifying a condition. It comes from understanding construction, causation, documentation, and what the evidence actually supports.

Construction Forensics Expertise

CFG evaluates construction conditions by looking beyond the visible symptom to understand how building systems interact, what failed, why it failed, and what the technical evidence supports.

CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS

CAUSATION

STRUCTURAL CONDITIONS

SITE & DRAINAGE

Root Cause & Failure Analysis

Connecting observed damage with construction history, building systems, repair attempts, environmental conditions, and other evidence to determine the probable cause of failure.

Individual symptoms rarely tell the entire story. Construction forensics requires understanding how the building functions as a system.

Forensic & Case Experience

CFG has been involved in construction matters ranging from individual building failures and warranty disputes to complex cases involving multiple defects, experts, contractors, insurers, and legal counsel.

Our work has included:

  • Independent construction investigation
  • Technical document and photographic review
  • Root-cause and causation analysis
  • Repair history and proposed repair evaluation
  • Development of written findings and technical reports
  • Construction timelines and case narratives
  • Coordination with engineers and specialized experts
  • Technical support for builder and insurance discussions
  • Mediation and arbitration support
  • Depositions and expert testimony
  • Demonstratives, exhibits, and technical case presentation

Our involvement can begin before a construction problem becomes a legal dispute—or after attorneys and other experts are already involved.
